It is a smooth and connected partner dance that allows for improvisation and emphasises musical interpretation.
It is the most versatile partner dance in existence!
It is a fun and social way to learn new skills, no partner required as we rotate throughout the class.

EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT
Cnr Victoria Rd & Park Rd, Rydalmere (near Parramatta)

Format of the Sunday night at Rydalmere is:

Cost = $15 per night which includes both classes and social dancing

Just turn up at 7.15pm at each venue to participate! No dance experience required!

What you will learn:

In Beginners the  WCS 101 Fundamentals Syllabus will be taught and in the intermediate class you will learn easy intermediate patterns and techniques

Bookings are not required and partners are not required. Just turn up between 7/15pm to register on each night!

Nuroc Dance Company is proud to have brought the worlds best West Coast Swing Dancers to Australia since 2006, including Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollmann (who have attended Australia 3 times for Nuroc), Benji Schwimmer & Kellese Key, Robert Cordoba, Deborah Sezekely, Myles Munroe, Tessa Cunningham, Chuck Brown and Patty Vo.

Nuroc's teachers achievements in West Coast Swing Dancing to date include:

Charles Gil - In October 2006 Charles competed for the first time overseas in the 'Boogie by the Bay' West Coast Swing competition held in San Francisco, USA. He won 1st place in the 'Novice Jack & Jill Division' and 5th place with Robyn Everingham also from Nuroc, in the 'Novice Strictly Swing Division'. Charles & Robyn were the only 2 Australian Dancers to win or even place in this competition. This was a huge achievement for our Australian Dancers and it really put our Australian West Coast Swing Dancers on the map in the USA! Hundreds of America's competed in both events! Charles also, most recently, won the West Coast Swing division of the Ceroc & Modern Jive Dance Championships competition in June 2007 with Janine Myers also from Nuroc Dance Company. Charles continues to learn from Jordan Frisbee & Tatiana Mollmann, who are his West Coast Swing idols!

Michelle Gil - In October 2006 Michelle Gil competed for her first time overseas at 'Halloween Swingthing' event in California in the 'Novice Jack & Jill division' and placed 7th. Michelle also completed a Skippy Blair Intensive 4 day workshop in California in October 2006 while in America for a month to learn more about West Coast Swing dancing.
